Thomas H. McKinney responds to Lisa Sorg's article posted on the ncpolicywatch.com website:

The older website that is showing up in online searches goes back to 2004-2006 when I first reported state government misconduct. I left the Agency's Division of Air Quality in 2006. I returned to the Agency ten years later in 2016, joining the Division of Water Resources.

The current website that shows up in online searches (http://www.enjoymathscience.com/dupont/) includes most of the information I presented to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina in 2018 to assist their Dupont/Chemours investigation. Clearly, it reflects my own experiences, observations, and understanding of events. I could be wrong.

Please note that the presentation content includes the "Agency's remarkable success at significantly reducing fluorocarbon emissions (2017-2019)." Although I have not been involved in that effort, I am truly impressed at what DEQ has accomplished during the past 20 months to significantly reduce emissions of fluorocarbons (PFAS) to the environment!

It would not be appropriate for me to comment further at this time. Thank you.
